UK Marriage | Spouse Visa Uk
Applicants who wants apply for the Spouse visa to the UK must have a partner who is either a British citizen or who has an indefinite leave to remain in the UK. They must be intending to live together permanently. This route allows all applicants to live and work or study in the UK. Upon completing the 5 years considering the requirements, applicants can apply permanent residency in the UK.
Requirements:
You and your spouse must be 18 years old or over..
You must have genuine and subsisting relationship as a spouse of person present or settled in the UK. You must have met each other in person and be legally married You must intend to live together permanently. You must have enough money to support yourselves (and any dependents) without claiming public funds.
Your sponsoring partner must earn at least £29,000 gross per year or have savings of £88,500 if the UK spouse has no earnings from emploment, self employment or any other means of income.
You must have suitable accommodation for you, your spouse and any dependants.
You must satisfy the English language requirements to show that applicant has English at CEFR level A1 as required by the UK immigration rules.
Exemption from Financial Requirement
Applicant will be exempt from financial requirement, if the UK spouse is receiving one of the following;
1- Disability living allowance
2- Severe disablement allowance
3- Industry injury disablement benifit
4- Attendance allowance
5- Carer’s allowance
UK spouse must provide the specified evidence to demonstrate that he or she is able to maintain and accomodate himself/herself, the applicant with out recourse to public funds.
