UK Ancestry Visa is for Citizens of Commonwealth countries who have any of their grandparents were born in the UK, including the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. Please note that the grandparents need not still be alive for the applicant to be eligible. You may apply for this category, it allows you to stay here for 5 years and ultimately potential route to Permanent residence also known as Indefinite leave to remain. You are aged 17 years or over.
You have a grandparent who was born in the UK
You intend to work in the UK for the whole duration
